We have a new website!

‘Big deal’ you might be thinking, why is that worthy of a blog? That’s fair unless you have ever gone through a rebrand (or refresh as I refer to it) and website build. Oh, and if you tend to be a bit of a perfectionist (so they say), the road is even harder!

Generosity, uniqueness, adventurous, love, wisdom, boundaries and effort. These are the values you will find on our website and the ones that drove the finished product.

And the hard, hard work has paid off–we are IN LOVE with our new website. And I mean, we have fallen hard! If you read more about our values on the new site or perhaps even an old blog of ours, you won’t be surprised to see, we fall in love often…with our clients, candidates and each and every job! But this was different, we even had to go through a breakup to find ‘the one’.

We loved our old website!

Like a true romantic, I can be sentimental. I don’t like to throw out the old just to have the new, but it was time. With our old website, I especially adored the imagery. I distinctly recall briefing the web designers 11 years ago (eek) and saying, ‘do not give me a girl with a headset. We don’t want to look like your average recruiter website’.

The brief was the same this time around, but it was oh so much harder. I’ll confess, it took two goes! We engaged one website designer, and we tried and tried to make it work, but in the end, they were just not that into us. We broke up. ‘It’s you, not us’ they said. But we remained optimistic and resilient–your web guys must believe in your brand. They too need to be excited, and maybe, dare I say, fall in love with you!

They were right, it was ‘us’ and not them. We were pedantic about our brand and messaging and thank goodness for our relentless persistence to get it right and not give up. Otherwise, we would have settled and if you know us at EST10, we don’t settle. In line with one of our new and improved values, ‘effort-we always put in 110%, striving to exceed our own expectations on every task. And we never give up–always delivering, no matter how challenging the requirements.’

As a business owner, I made a commitment to always be relevant, up to date, fresh and current and I mean, in all areas. Sometimes it’s hard because it’s ‘easier’ to revert to what you already know.


Our new website is also our home, and our wish is that you feel welcomed, relaxed, and that it puts a smile on your face. Like a truly cosy, luscious, inviting, and warm home! We also hope you don’t want to leave, so please linger, and stay as long as you like! There are hours and hours of great content, and we hope it feels like you are chatting directly to us!

When people come to our office, they often say to us how comfortable they feel. We wanted the same for our website and to make sure it resonates with our physical business space.

I learnt after the fact, that the design of a website is crucial in establishing trust and that people leave poorly designed ones quickly–it takes only 50 milliseconds to make an impression. We humans are smart!

Our primary concerns were to design something which conveys all that is vital to us and our business. Our emotional connection to the old website was not easy to overcome, but the arrival of the pandemic (yes, that’s how long the design has been going on for!) with all its changes and shifts created a new world and, in some cases, a beginning for us all.

What our website symbolises

Not only are we unique, but we know you are too! AT EST10 we have always treated people as individuals. We don’t use a cookie cutter approach (but our site does use cookies!) by matching a job description with a resume. We see way beyond the surface to uncover your unique attributes as a candidate and as a business. When the uniqueness is brought together for the right match, that’s when the magic happens or in professional terms–the cultural fit!

Your unique recruiter! The images are slightly quirky, funny with some humour, just like us. I’ve always had a penchant for the 60’s vibe; a retro feel, the freedom and incredible changes to society that decade represented (not to mention the hair and fashion!). With all we were enduring, I felt like our old world was becoming too restricted, (COVID, social distancing, remote work, no hairdressers…). Not just restrictions but constrictions on our physical and mental space. The images decorating our beautiful pages represent and remind me of the world that has to be a bit black and white, but also needs to break out with a splash of colour (and what better colour than orange!). The retro images remind me of a better-connected society, with some societal structure but also a free spirit.

We wanted a website that was relevant and fresh, but also to convey the emotional and intellectual wisdom gathered over the years. EST10 has adjusted, as have the expectations of our candidates and clients, and the website now reflects the changes of that journey.

Why EST10? is…

Generous in the information we share–it’s a dictionary for our clients, candidates, and anyone looking for advice! We are privileged to be regularly invited to contribute to newspaper, online and magazine articles, as well as podcasts, TV and radio interviews. So, we now have a dedicated media page! You name the topic–it’s here, ‘older workers’, ‘the great candidate shortage’, ‘age of entitlement’, ‘how to do zoom interviews’, the list goes on and on!

Unique beyond the recruitment space, but as a website on its own!

Adventurous–it was a long, winding roller coaster of an adventure, well outside of our comfort zone!

Full of the wisdom we have accumulated over the years of our business and experience! Including access to our book, Employable’s first chapter!

Great with boundaries, we knew what we wanted, were always polite, and we were not going to settle!

Overflowing with team effort. We can truly say we put our heart and soul into this website, the same as what we do for our clients, candidates and each job that comes through our doors–virtually and physically!

Our website is us. We wanted to create a place for you to enter and virtually see and feel what we do as recruiters, and we think we did just that!

Managing Director

As Founder and Managing Director at EST10, Roxanne has an all-encompassing role that includes building and growing the business, as well as actively recruiting and consulting.

After completing a Bachelor’s Degree at Monash University, Roxanne began her recruitment career with renowned recruiter Julia Ross. From there, Roxanne worked in HR and recruitment with a number of global players and boutique businesses throughout Australia, the UK, Singapore and Hong Kong for over 20 years. She has been responsible for managing large teams and projects, implementing RPO models, managing and assisting businesses to an IPO and assisting companies in setting up their recruitment teams and processes.

Following completion of her MBA at the Australian Graduate School of Management, Roxanne launched EST10 in July 2010. In doing so, she hoped to combine the flexibility and high touch service levels of boutique agencies with the structure and strategy afforded to larger firms. Roxanne believes in high-touch, high-care consulting and is always on the lookout for consultants that share this vision of recruitment.
