The workplace gender law underscores the harsh reality of wage inequality. It rightfully points the finger at the external: society and systemic structures. The Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) and others, similarly, attribute the gap in earnings to such factors. They are accurate and justified in their assessments.
Still it is not enough…
WHAT EARNING POWER STANDS FOR
The premise of ‘Earning Power’ is for self-efficacy, to help women be in control of their financial future, to earn more and work towards closing the pay gap. It looks at the gender pay gap from an employment and personal agency lens and distils my experience and knowledge to help women to be a million dollars ahead in life.
This is my expertise. Recruitment, career advice, and the employment arena. It has been my playground for over 30 years. I know the swings to give you reach, the slides too precarious to even try and the monkey bars to risk a thrill on. Mostly, I know the players, the bullies, imposters, victims, saboteurs, cheerleaders, mentors, givers and more.
‘Earning Power’ shows women how to make better decisions in the workplace and, most importantly, shows through a formula how these better decisions lead to incremental and compound earnings that can earn you a million dollars over your lifetime. You don’t have to be career-hungry, working a thousand hours a week to get there. You simply have to make different and better decisions, valuing your worth and building your confidence.
