Accounts assistants in Sydney working in a temporary capacity can expect to earn an hourly rate of between $30 per hour and $55 per hour.
All salaries/rates are exclusive of superannuation. Further, the below rates do not include additional bonuses or the value of non-monetary benefits.
Junior – $60-70k/Yearly salary, $30-38/Hourly rate
Intermediate – $70-80k/Yearly salary, $38-45/Hourly rate
Senior – $80-95k/Yearly salary, $45-55/Hourly rate

Accounts support staff often have tertiary qualifications and high technical competency. In lieu of tertiary qualifications, substantial work experience or in-house training will be required to meet the needs of the role. Accounts assistants may wish to pursue further accounts roles, including assistant accountant and accountant.
