It Is All About Love

Thank you!

EST10 Team, News & Events

Thank you!

I want to start by saying thank you! At EST10, we are always so grateful to work with you, our clients, and candidates. You ‘let us in’, to a part of your lives – sharing your wants, needs, dreams, and hopes. It is a privilege. It is also a huge responsibility to honour the trust you have placed in us, in finding you a dream role or a dream candidate for your business.

In ‘letting us in’, the unique and confidential aspects you share with us provide insight and is what we fall in love with. This genuine exchange enables us to do our best job for you.

So important is this aspect of ‘love’ for us at EST10; it is part of our values for our new website (watch this space!).

‘Love – We fall in love with our clients and candidates and the roles and businesses we partner with. We can’t help but recruit with our hearts.’

Letting you in

We thought it only fair we reciprocate and ‘let you in’. We thought to share how we go about manifesting our love for the amazing job briefs or fabulous candidates into impactful and important placements.

Firstly, as you may have gleaned from previous blogs or social posts, food plays an all too crucial role at EST10. We start our day fuelled by toast, usually raisin and smothered in Rachels beloved ‘Kerrygold’ butter and coffee (thank you, Batch and Bowery Lane), and that is well before 9am!

After our food, we focus on our next great love interest – you!

Taking a job brief

With every new job we work on, we spend meaningful time talking with the hiring manager. Every job has its own nuances and quirks and can never be a cookie-cutter approach. Where is the love in that!

If it is our first time working with you, we always meet in person. We need to see and feel your office and environment. This is just the start of understanding and believing in your culture.

We look for the invisible ink part of the role and ALWAYS aim to come away with at least one aspect we are in love with. I can assure you; you want this! In a market so competitive for talent, you want your recruiter to be your biggest advocate and be in love with you, the role, and your business.

Gaining such valuable insight into your company allows us not only to identify the right person but, more importantly, helps us to sell your proposition to them. We can only do this when we are breathing the same values as you.

The next time we meet – ask us what we love about your role, your business and you! You may be surprised!

Interviewing new candidates

Getting to know you as a candidate is one of our favourite parts of our day. But I mean really getting to know you – not just asking the standard questions. If we have interviewed you, you may have wondered why we care about a job from 20 years ago, a part-time job from University or even about your dog!

Everyone has a different story to tell and a wealth of experiences, as well as dreams and aspirations.

This is the part of you that we fall in love with, for this is what makes you unique.

Anyone can recite what is on your resume. We like to bring out you – the essence of you. This is what we are experts at! If we have placed you in a job – ask your Manager if we fell in love with your resume, or was it you?

It is always you – it will be something about how amazing you handled a situation or a person or some attribute, skill, value or talent identified.

Placing roles

Ok, this is the favourite part of our job! We are making our client happy by solving a problem for them (often complex) and giving our candidates the most precious gift – a job!

In ‘letting you in’ even more, it’s no exaggeration to say, sometimes it is hard to sleep the night before when expecting an offer the next day!

Because we have fallen so in love with the job and the person being offered the role – it often feels like we are taking the job! We know a new job is like receiving a ‘key’ to a brand-new world, full of excitement, new vistas, and many life-changing opportunities.

Why so much love?

When talking about our clients and candidates, we have always used the word ‘love’ in our vernacular at EST10. Some may find it ‘odd’, and some find it powerful. Lucky for us, we care only about what we know to be right for us.

Since the world has changed so much and continues to do so, I see an increased acceptance of people being ‘allowed’ to be who they really are. The renewed freedom of expression and openness to share is exciting and encourages us to be unburdened by how we are perceived, as long as we respect social norms.

I also see transparency and authenticity as a minimum expectation. In embracing who we are at EST10; it’s true to say we love everything we do; without that, we wouldn’t come to work every day ready to do a great job. A great job for you, our clients, candidates and for us ?.

“To catch the rainbows of your dreams, love yourself, love what you do, and how you do.” ― Amit Ray
