Detailed Job Description:

  • $95,000 to $100,000 + Superannuation

What is unique about you?

You are a highly skilled and professional Personal Assistant with experience in an education setting. With a strong understanding of the education sector, you are confident in providing essential support to a passionate Deputy Head Principal. Your exceptional written and verbal communication skills allow you to engage effectively with staff, students, parents, and external partners, building strong and professional relationships. Known for your discretion and sound judgment, you approach sensitive matters with empathy and tact, serving as a trusted advisor to the Deputy Head Principal.

Your strong interpersonal skills are vital in this role, as you’ll be working closely with a diverse range of people and fostering collaborative relationships within the close-knit school community. The role requires excellent diary management, scheduling, and coordinating meetings, while balancing multiple competing priorities with flexibility and poise. You are proficient in organising documents within a school environment and are familiar with education-specific terminology.

Highly organised and adaptable, you can seamlessly switch between tasks and make practical decisions on when to escalate issues. As a proactive team player, you thrive in a fast-paced environment, anticipating needs and bringing a problem-solving approach to each day, while also supporting other team members with various projects.

A snapshot of your role…

  • Provide high-level administrative assistance, overseeing communication, calendars, meetings, and digital records, while maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Organise and oversee school events, functions, and the academic calendar, ensuring smooth planning and execution of staff training, meetings, and student programs with effective communication.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for staff, students, parents, and external parties, addressing inquiries, collaborating with departments, and supporting the Deputy Head Principal in fostering strong stakeholder relationships.

 

  • Assist with maintaining policy and procedural compliance, ensuring adherence to work health and safety regulations, coordinating audits, and working closely with maintenance and facilities teams.
  • Collaborate with the Deputy Head Principal in overseeing reports, tracking expenses, and handling correspondence to support efficient school operations.
