Executive Assistant

Detailed Job Description:

  • $165,000 + super
  • Tech industry
  • Sydney CBD | Fully office-based

What makes this company unique?

  • Join an Australian technology business working at the forefront of an incredibly complex and rapidly evolving space
  • This is a business built around big ideas, long-term thinking, and solving problems
  • You’ll be surrounded by exceptionally bright, highly specialised people who are genuinely passionate about the work they do
  • There’s a strong sense of purpose behind the business, with its work attracting interest and engagement from influential people across Australia and internationally
  • The Founder is incredibly driven and accomplished, but fundamentally a good human being – grounded, genuine, and someone who cares deeply about both the business and its people
  • There is significant momentum behind the organisation, with ambitious plans for what comes next and plenty happening behind the scenes
  • For the right person, there is genuine scope to grow beyond the traditional EA remit, with a potential pathway towards a Chief of Staff role over time

What is unique about you?

  • You’re a seriously accomplished EA who has supported at Founder, CEO or similarly senior level and knows what exceptional support looks like
  • Your judgement is one of your biggest strengths. You instinctively know what’s important, what can wait and when you simply need to make the call
  • You’re always three steps ahead! You spot the potential issue, missing detail or diary clash long before it becomes someone else’s problem
  • You’re polished enough to deal with a minister or UHNWI, but there’s no ego about you – you adapt naturally to whoever is in front of you
  • Technology comes naturally to you. You’re curious, digitally savvy and always looking for a smarter way to get something done
  • You understand the rhythm of supporting a Founder, and an out-of-hours call doesn’t throw you

A snapshot of your role…

  • Own a complex and ever-changing diary, making smart calls on what gets the Founder’s time and attention
  • Coordinate extensive domestic and international travel, staying ahead of logistics, changes, and competing priorities
  • Act as a true gatekeeper, filtering requests and using your judgement to know what needs attention and what doesn’t

  • Manage relationships with an exceptional stakeholder network, from senior executives and UHNWIs to government ministers
  • Stay across priorities outside traditional hours when needed, particularly around travel, urgent changes, and time-sensitive matters
  • Become a genuine extension of the Founder, anticipating what’s coming and gradually taking on more as your knowledge and trust grows

Does this sound like your dream role? Don’t delay in submitting your CV!
