Customer Service Representative

Detailed Job Description:

  • $85,000 + super
  • Home furnishings
  • Mascot | Fully office-based + free onsite parking

What makes this company unique?

  • Step into the world of premium home furnishings! This established business represents beautiful international brands across Australia and New Zealand
  • Relationships are at the heart of this business. Many customers and suppliers have worked with the company for years, so service is personal rather than transactional
  • There’s plenty of variety here! You won’t be pigeonholed into one repetitive task, with opportunities to get involved across customer service, orders, sales support, suppliers, and projects
  • Join a friendly, down-to-earth team where people know their products, know their customers, and genuinely work together to get things done
  • Looking for somewhere you can settle in and stay? This is a long-term opportunity with the scope to learn, grow, and take on more over time
  • Forget circling Mascot looking for a parking space every morning – there’s free parking onsite!

What is unique about you?

  • You’re someone who genuinely likes helping people – you’re warm, responsive, and naturally good at building rapport
  • Busy inbox? Phone ringing? An order that needs sorting? You’re at your best when there are a few things happening at once
  • Details matter to you. Whether it’s a price, product code, stock level, or delivery detail, you’re someone who checks rather than assumes
  • You have experience in customer service, operations, sales support, or a similarly fast-paced role
  • You’re confident picking up the phone and speaking with customers, but equally polished and professional over email
  • You’re organised without being rigid and can reshuffle your priorities when something more urgent lands on your desk
  • You’re naturally curious and enjoy learning the ins and outs of a product range so you can give customers genuinely useful answers
  • If you’ve worked in home furnishings, interiors, furniture, design, or a product-based business, brilliant! If not, an interest in beautiful products and a willingness to learn will go a long way

A snapshot of your role…

  • Be the friendly first point of contact for customer enquiries across phone and email
  • Process customer orders, quotes, and proformas accurately, keeping everything moving behind the scenes
  • Check stock availability, coordinate stock reserves with suppliers, and provide customers with accurate pricing and product information

  • Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers, becoming someone they know they can rely on
  • Work closely with the sales team, helping with customer requests, projects, and the day-to-day details that keep everything running smoothly
  • Pitch in across the wider operations team when needed – this is an all-rounder role where variety is part of the appeal!
