We are just one day away from announcing the winner of our competition to find Sydney’s Best EA! Before doing so, I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce our judge, and so it is with great pleasure and delight that we announce Peter Ivany AM as our judge for 2017.
Following his success as CEO of Hoyts where he grew the company from a small Australian chain to a global business with over 2,000 theatres, Peter established Ivany Investment Group, a Sydney-based investment company that manages a significant global portfolio and provides operational and management consulting services to a number of private equity businesses including IMAX theatre, Allied Credit and Sydney Zoo.
Peter’s success in the business world is matched by his involvement in the not-for–profit sector, where he has served on a number of fundraising, arts, Jewish, business education and sporting boards, with this service to the community being formally recognised when he was awarded the Order of Australia in 2007. At present, Peter is a Board Member of NIDA, an Honorary Life Governor for the Jewish Communal Appeal and serves as Chairman of the NIDA Foundation Trust, the Sydney Swans Foundation and The Advisory Council for the Sydney Film Festival.
