13 Years!

It’s Our Birthday! EST10 that is, and we are celebrating 13 glorious years in business.

Ok, not all those years have been glorious (we all know which years I am referring to!)… but they have been all worthwhile, a positive challenge, and fun (even those years- I thought they would kill me, but they didn’t)!

We mark and celebrate all milestones at EST10, anniversaries, birthdays, babies, pregnancies, pets, book launches (yes, there will be another!), wins and achievements. It’s our place; we make the rules! We celebrate Daisy’s birthday too, and yes, of course, she has a Santa sack (I can’t believe you even asked!).

This year, I have 13 thoughts for 13 years. Oh, you may sense some Taylor Swiftness theme coming through. I couldn’t help myself; it just happened, like an architect drawing up the plans.

Here we go...
  1. Trust your instinct. Think you don’t have one? You do; you just need to hone it!
  1. Be grateful daily. It’s good for you and your relationships! While I am here- thank you, EST10 team; you are the best!
  1. Always, try, try, try! Say yes to the challenge, don’t give up, keep at it!
  1. Loyalty remains my #1 draft pick. I’m a sucker for it. Perhaps because I am, too, always!
  1. Self-awareness navigates personal growth. How accurate is your perception of self? Do you like the perception others have of you? If not, change it!
  1. Get a mentor- yes, even at my young age. Or a BFF who will ALWAYS tell you how it is (caveat, when asked). Thank you- you know who you are XXOO.
  1. Reputation and integrity are all you have in business and life.
  1. Embrace change and innovation, even when technology doesn’t appear to be your friend (hello monkey. AKA as Mail Chimp).
  1. Failure and mistakes don’t make you a loser; they make you successful, depending on what you decide to do with it!
  1. Move on quickly from setbacks. It’s time wasted. Shake it off! Same as for the cynics, you need to calm down!
  1. Wear two bras when you go running.
  1. Give first and without reciprocal expectation.
  1. Keep those high standards. Don’t be discouraged by the lazy labelling it as being a ‘perfectionist’. Sorry… although not so much.

Ok, now I am on a role; there are a couple more.

  1. Pick your battles and where you place your energy. If you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.
  1. If you want to understand people, look into their eyes. It can stop your heart!

Thank you to all our clients, candidates, supporters, friends, EST10 alums, followers and EST10 family etc., for believing in, trusting and working with us. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to love what we have done for 13 years! EST10 forever, cause we never go out of style!
